Wilderness First Responder Re-cert

A 4-Day Re-certification Experience  - Registration Details Below:

Keep your Wilderness First Responder Certification up to date! This intensive Wilderness First Responder Re-cert (WFRR) program equips participants with a 3 year re-certification in Wilderness First Responder regardless of what provider issued their original certification. Often a great chance to socialize & catch up with classmates from your original WFR or a chance to network with other Professionals or potential employers in the outdoor industry!

The Wilderness First Responder Re-certification course will revisit concepts learned during previous courses and helps to inform students of any changes in the practice of wilderness medicine that may have been made in the interim. Most of the class time will be spent on practical drills, simulations, and case studies as a means of reviewing subject matter and refreshing skills.

To enroll, students must have an unexpired Wilderness First Responder (WFR) certificate from Wilderness Medical Associates International or another approved provider such as Sirius, Solo, Wilderness Medical Institute (WMI), or Slipstream (please inquire about others). A review package is available on the Wilderness Medical Associates website after you have registered here and must be completed prior to your arrival at the course.  Your Instructor will be collecting your work to mark.

Wilderness First Responder Re-certification training uses hands-on sessions, as well as classroom lecture and discussion. Realistic scenarios with theatrical blood and simulated wounds are utilized to prepare students for back-country emergencies.
